Savannah Theatre - Savannah Georgia

Having opened its doors on December 4, 1818, the historic Savannah Theatre is the oldest theatre of its kind still operating on its original site in the USA.

Restored in 2002, the Savannah Theatre combines the 1940's Art Deco Style with a state-of-the-art light and sound system, producing a variety of shows throughout the year.

Flanked by a picturesque square, the theatre is within walking distance of a variety of delightful eateries and hotels. The theatre always offers an entertaining evening!

Round America visited the Savannah Theatre in 2003 and in 2007.

It was a very enjoyable evening both times, though we felt the cast was definitely better in 2007. It is a large cast - eight singers/dancers/actors plus a band.
