Gryphon's Tea Room - Savannah Georgia

The Gryphon Tea Room, housed in an adapted turn-of-the-century pharmacy, serves tea, coffee, sodas and light meals.

Students, as well as locals and tourists, relax in the tea room while admiring the antique furnishings.

Fourteen original stained glass windows with a mortar and pestle motif convey the original purpose of the shop. The stained glass ceiling is something to see.

The Gryphon Tea Room was restored and is owned and operated by Savannah College of Art and Design.

The Gryphon Tea Room is located on a corner across from Madison Square.

The sugar is unique. Rather than provide traditional packets of sugar, the Gryphon serves sugar water in a lovely decanter.
